[TheUbuCon] Thank you, John Mark, Google folk, Canonical, and all UBUNTISTS, for NYC UBUCON 2007!

And thanks, John Mark, and thanks all who helped get me down to
and inside of the famous NYC GPLEX. As far as I can tell the
powerful and extremely widespread propaganda in favor of
Canonical and Ubuntu and Google's food is all true, and my only
regret is not bringing a large sack to take home more food.

I much enjoyed my own talk, despite an even greater incoherence
that usual. And I more enjoyed what folks on the floor had to
say, and next time I will be on the floor, and I hope even more
people speak up.

ad what I intended to talk about: Here is a partial record of the
proceedings at the 13-14 February 2007 FTC Workshop on Net
Neutrality:

At the next such regulatory workshop, I hope more free software
folk show up. If we go and speak, often regulators, judges, and
Congress-folk learn, and sometimes this helps mightily. Only
organized groups, and much work by volunteers, gets result. A
post to Slashdot is not as effective as a careful letter to the
FTC, and yes, I admit the post is easier to do than the letter ;)

May we and our families survive and prosper to the next UBUCON!

oo--JS.
